Alarmed: March 2019 Prompt

Slept through…

Barry/Brenda had three alarm clocks in her living area and kitchen and five in the bedroom. The five in her bedroom, with moving hands, not digital numbers, began with the signal with turning off her iPhone and charging it that signaled getting ready for bed at 9:30 pm. A music alarm to be asleep by 11 p.m. An alarm at 1 a.m. to go to the bathroom and check on her aging dog’s breathing. One at 3 a.m. to check all the doors. A radio alarm at 6 a.m. telling her/him to put on the coffee and snuggle back in bed, listening to the news. And a final 7:30 Must Be Up Alarm.  For naps, she/he used a kitchen timer limited to sixty minutes.

It was the first Friday morning in April, when new flowers were blooming, that the 1 a.m. alarm didn’t go off.  So, …..
